Spring Photography

Why do i feel like this winter is dragging on forever...afterall it is only March and I'm totally bumped out already. The weather is still way too cold to enjoy any outdoor activities. I did do some raking yesterday while the sun was out...i guess it did warm up to about 46 degrees farenheit ...still too cold for my bones. I'm dying to get out and shoot new spring growth. There is still snow that just doesn't want to melt and the weatherman says we may get more later tonight I'm so depressed....really i am.

Jodi,

Just give it a few weeks and the weather will be better (I hope ) and in the meantime just think of that wonderful new photo iPod

Weather here is much improved and lots of spring flowers are out now ... I do like spring its such a pretty time ...

Thanks Wendy, yes I would have to say Spring is my favorite time of the year...but i prefer summer as far as temps go. The reason spring is my favorite time of the year is because the blasted winter i hate so much is over with !! I love that feeling...I'm aching for that feeling. Sick to death of winter !

Maybe I'll just move to Florida and pick on the Elements team....just for fun

Hay I'm not done taking winter snow and frost pic. yet. I have had so much fun this winter with my new Pentex istd. I have taken between 600 and 800 pic. I will permit the weather man 1 week of mud season between winter and spring. Heading to Oswego NY this weekend and will most likley shoot another 100 to 200 on our grandson.
Have a great Easter weekend

I missed the snow that we had in the UK a few weeks ago. Just some would have been good, great photo opportunities - but not what Jodi has had to put up with...

Hopefully the weather this Easter weekend will ok...

Mike

Thanks Scuba Stan for sharing...yes i know your type ...I'm not a winter person tho so the idea of going out in it to take pics doesn't entice me at all. Ya, I'm a stick in the snow...Happy you are happy and achieving your desires.

Mike, i feel it's just been too long a winter this year for some reason. Certainly isn't any different than any other year. I need change.

Actually when spring arrives the same areas that have been so great for winter pic. will be loaded with wild flowers and wildlife. Then I'll have to wait until fall, my favorite time of year. If you are ever in NE Ind. let me know and I'll show some great places for outdoor photos. We have a group called Acres Inc that has done much to preserve many special natural areas in our flat land of corn and beans.
Hang in there spring will be here soon.

Jodi,

I feel bad for the people who are not enjoying spring yet. Our trees are blooming; daffodils, tulips, etc are blooming. Cherry trees are beginning to bloom. It was Carolina blue sky today with 75 degree temp.

Palm Sunday weekend, I shot pix around the house of all the blooms and the Lily I bought for Easter.

It will come soon for you. It always starts earlier here.

Jill

Jodi, hi! I'll be going from one extreme to the other this week. Today in Houston, 75 degrees and sunny.

Monday night, I'll be in Anchorage, low temp in the 20's. :?

Saturday, April 2nd, will be in Kuparuk, AK, the North Slope. Expected temperature: 0

Oh, well....
