Photoshop: Down and Dirty Tour

Yesterday Scott Kelby was at the NEC Birmingham UK with the Adobe Photoshop Seminar Tour. I went along to it and have to say that it was absolutely fantastic ...

Scott Kelby is a brilliant speaker and a first class teacher, he makes things seem simple and gives you information in a way that is very easy to absorb and understand. If anyone gets a chance to attend one of the seminars then I can assure you that it is so worthwhile. (OK it is intended for the full version of Photoshop but using add ons and workarounds the majority of it works in Elements too ... plus it gives you those vital ideas on new and different things to try out).

It was split into 5 sessions Repairing and Restoring Photos, Creating Collages, Even more Down and Dirty Tricks, Professional Studio Retouching Techniques and Photoshop Killer Tips ... so you can see that there was something there for everyone. Me ... well I just enjoyed all of them

I understand that the next one is in London this Thursday ...

As a added bonus MikeH was also there ... so we were able to meet. Now thats something that forum members rarely do

As Wendy said, this whole day was superb and thoroughly entertaining from start to finish . Photoshop CS or not there are lots of tips, tricks and techniques that can be applied in Elements.

The only down side was that it seemed to go so quickly, even though it started at 10.00am and ran to 5.00pm it felt about half that time.

It was really good to meet Wendy and put a face to all those posts

Oh yes, if you are going tomorrow take your wallet, there are some great deals on training DVDs.

Afraid not ....

I was very suprised to find out at the Birmingham Seminar that people had come from all over the country. Maybe the next best thing is to buy the Book and DVD ...

Wendy - Mike,
Did you get to be up close and personal with the man? Like actually touch that amazing hand that writes the books????

Yes, that was a good thing about the event. There wasn't a question and answer session. Instead Scott was available at the breaks, lunch time and afterwards to chat or answer questions.

Because he was available all day there was plenty of opportunity to talk to Scott or just say hello.

An extremely worthwhile day and would I recommend anyone to attend one of Scott's seminars.
