The problem with Nails is that they have been highly compressed and the fine threads have been lost. Now from a distance this is not a problem but up close the difference between a Nail and a Screw becomes really noticeable.
Nails conform to the TPEG or Tent Peg Standard which is supported by many hammers. However, one of the current problems with the current Screw offerings is the number of different head types. Usually this is not a problem as there are plenty of drivers on the market that will support these - but the worry is that some of them may not be supported in the future, rendering any driver you have obselete.....hence you will be screwed ![]() To address this problem Adobe have made available an open source tool called a Digital Nail Gun or DNG. Whilst a little misleading in the naming, this device proposes an new head format that can be supported by any device. BTW; does anyone know of a High Impact Hammer that has interchangable heads and handles. ![]() ![]() Colin
