Major Major,

I did three separate searches. First I entered the word vignette in the search box. Then to make sure I was not missing anything I did two more searches -- one using the phrase add vignette and another one using create vignette.

Sepiana -

Are we both talking about the search box on the main PET home page? Because, as I said, my results were very different.

Major Major,

I used the Search the site box. The word vignette alone yielded the five tuts I mentioned in my previous post --

Portrait Finishing Touches
The Boom Vignette
Create Three Classic Film Looks
Making Effective Vignettes
Editing and Creating a Vignette Effect

-- along with the tut on using the Guided Edit vignette effect (Tips and Tricks).

Very odd. Here's what I get as my first 5 hits for "vignette".

Tips & Tricks (November/December 2011)

One-click vignette; clear away red eyes; using the Eyedropper Tool’s sampling option; resize brushes the fast way (MAC).

Major Major,

If you look at this link which I posted previously, you will notice I get the same first five tuts you do. You need to go beyond them to find the ones on "vignette" which I listed.

Search results for "vignette"

The inclusion of the other tuts can be explained by what Joe said in his post. In this case PET's search engine looked for any tut/article in which the word vignette was used.

It can make a big difference in the number of threads found.
That's why I suggested you also searched using the phrases -- "add vignette" and "create vignette".

Okay., thanks. It would be nice if there was an option to search by title only.

[QUOTE=Major Major;620203]Probably another stupid question...

The help manual says the crop tool is in the toolbox (or whatever term they use) -- they even show the cute little crop tool icon. But I sure can't find it. I can get to a crop tool in guided edit mode, but isn't it available in full edit mode?

I always go to IMAGES at the top bar. CROP is one of the choices.

Good thought. I didn't realize that you could use this option without something selected.
