Channels and Curves

Hi,
I would like Channels and Curves offered. I actually have them on 3.0, as a plug in more or less, but they won't work in 4.0.

Would be nice to see those layers added.

New here, and so far I am amazed at the fantastic photos I have seen. I am more than a little intimidated.

Hi there ...

... and welcome to the forum

A lot of people still keep PSE3 on their computers just so that they can access curves and channels ... sadly I don't think that Adobe will allow access again

Please don't feel intimidated by the images you see here ... its a learning curve and we all started way down at the bottom. The more you use Elements the better you get ... so do lots of tutorials and experiment.

When a new tutorial is posted we all tend to try it out ... so join in on the next one. Its all good fun

Wendy

Hi Wendy, and thanks for the welcome.

It is too bad that Adobe might not let us have curves and channels on 4.0. I love converting to B&W so I will keep 3.0 on my computer as well.

I have used Elements to this point simply as a post processing for photos. More as a dark room, using as little as possible to achieve what I actually saw.

But have using Classroom in a Book for Adobe Elements 3.0, to learn of the special effects you can do. And looking around this sight, I see there are some very skilled Elements users, yourself being one of them. I hope to learn from you guys.

Hi there ...

One of the best ways of learning is to try out tutorials ... I don't know if you have subscribed yet but there are over 90 Video tutorials in the subscriber area and you get a newsletter too. Its well worth the subscrtiption fees

Thanks for the welcome Randy. From the looks of it, I do not think there is a question that could not be answered here.
Thanks again
