More Info

Does your slowdown happen when PSE 3 is running? Is it a general thing even when PSE 3 is not running?

Let us know when your slow downs and freezes occur and I am sure someone will be able to help.

(I slowed whenever I had the Organizer running).

PSE3 and marcosd

Mary, other programs like word perfect and sony sound forge take much longer to ope and task. Also, when I am working within PSE3 the tools and cursors delay when switching back and forth and the palletes leave shadows for a second when I move them. The bulk of my photos and drawings are stored on disks and only the current projects are full size files.
thanks for anything you might suggest.

512mb ram imo is bare minimum for running windoze version of pe3. If your system will allow for more ram upgrades then try crucial.com
Also you could try and do a disc defrag if ya haven't done so lately. This program needs a good amount of clear space to do it's thing.

I just installed an additional 512 MB RAM this weekend bringing me up to 1GB. Things are definitely improved but I will wait before using the Organizer to back up my photos. (I previously had disks that verified but would not open afterwards).
