Smile Color sketch instead of B&W

I stumbled upon this while playing around. I just wanted to share it with all of you as I enjoy the things you all post. I hope it hasn't been posted yet, please don't throw any tomatoes at me if it has .

B&W Sketch to Color

1. Open your photo.

2. Click Filters>Stylize>Find edges

3. Click Enhance>Convert to Black and White
(You can play with the different styles of B&W and choose the
one you prefer. I usually Choose newspaper as it is usually
the cleanest one.)
Now you should have what looks like a B&W sketch. You can
take your brush and set the color to white and paint over the
things you don't like to clean it up some.

4. Make a new layer and make sure it is selected.

5. Set your new layer to screen mode.

6. Choose your colors and paint your sketch. It will only paint on the black lines. Darker Colors tend to work better.

Color Sketch

Congratulations. Great idea. In your tutorial on how you did it, item # 4 says make a new layer. Do you mean make a blank layer or a copy of your original layes? Again I like what you've done.

I found an excellent tutorial for turning a color photo into a color sketch. The tutorial is involved and has quite a few steps, but the results are very pleasing.
