I found the Treasure - "downloads"

I think Al Ward must be Santa Claus - the Styles, Patterns and Brushes that we can have in the Download section are amazing.

I have downloaded and unzipped all of them and being the neatnik that I am I have put them in a folder structure that will make it easy for me to find exactly what I am looking for. I am heeding the advice in the tutorial not to install them all which could bog down everything.

I saved the jpg example picture for each of the Layer Styles and Brushes in each folder so I can easily identify what each set contains.

My problem: there is no preview or jpg for the Patterns. Is there a way to see what each "pattern" set contains without installing the patterns and looking at each from within PSE?

Mary, with a Pattern set, I usually just install it, then create a temporary Fill Layer (Layer>New Fill Layer>Pattern). At that point, you can preview the patterns through the Fill Layer dialog box. I tried to see whether I could open a pattern set with IrfanView, but no luck.

Chuck

Edit: You can also preview them using the Pattern Stamp tool. The choice of pattern is on the toolbar for the Stamp tool.
