PSE 8 is available

The Windows version is available for immediate purchase or free trial.

The Mac version isn't available yet, but you can preorder it.

Thanks John! It seems Adobe is releasing this sooner from previous years.

And there were those who scoffed when I said that Costco's clearing out of PSE7 foreshadowed PSE8's release...

It looks like the "plus" version comes with access to tutorials and a few other goodies. If I upgrade I'll stick with basic, I suppose, but I need to see whether the new version is worth it.

Now that PSE8 has been released, I can tell you that Rob Sheppard (editor of Outdoor Photographer magazine) has written a book about PSE8 and will discuss PSE8 as part of a 4-hour webinar, Nov 14. For more details, see this link. While you're there, answer the poll about your dSLR brand. (It's so hard, keeping the cat in the bag ).

Damn I feal CHEATED by Adobe. I have bought the Elements 7 less than 30 days ago and have experienced nothing but trouble (well ATR has been helpfull and the program is running now). I have spend DKK 900,00 and can now buy the 8 for DKK 1.200,00... Damn... 300 more and I get latest (else I have to spend DKK 800 on an upgrade).

I will try and return the product (bought online) and get the newest version instead.

I'll also (ahem ) let you know that we have 5 short videos previewing some of the new features in Elements 8 as well posted in the Learning Center. You do not have to be a subscriber to watch. Here's the link:

Enjoy. As Wendy said, there are a couple nice new features. I particularly enjoy the Recompose Tool.

Can anyone tell me how actions are working in PSE8? I hope I don't have to redo everything again. LOL
