Ahem...that just applies to dogs, according to the sign.

Oh. I thought it was the cat warning dogs off, and standing guard to make sure it didn't happen!

Benny,
I for one am offended by your title in this thread. There is no need for language like that in this forum. Lets keep it a clean and friendly atmosphere.

Two questions Charles, (anyone) 1: What word is the right one for such thing? and is it the same word for both animals and people? Benny, PS: I would like to ask a question to the owner, What if the dog can't read the sign?

Benny,
![]() the sign can't possibly be intended for cats, they much prefer a nicely dug over garden . . . just ask our neighbour ![]() ![]() In British English the sign would be 'no fouling', (just relating to the animals, the verb relating to people would be 'defecate', and you would find this in official usage not spoken, although we don't have signs relating to it LOL). Benny,
I think a better word would have been 'poop'. I did not take into account you are from Denmark and may not have known the difference since English is not your native language. I am sorry I did not do that.

Innocent mistake, everyone. We all know Benny to be a great, upstanding guy and member in good standing. All taken care of.
