Sketches

Inside the cover of the PSE 7 box, at the bottom, is a b&w sketch of a little girl in a yellow coat turned into a sketch. It says it is a new feature. I've tried to find it in filters and in the Missing Manual but can't locate it. How is this done?

hudakore,

I think it's one of the new special effects -- pencil sketch. Go to Guided Edit > Photographic Effects > Line Drawing.

Sorry to appear so dense...but how do I get to the window shown in the attachment in the previous post? If I click on Guided Edit, I only get choices for correcting the photo I have open (levels, cropping, etc). (PSE 6)
edit: nevermind....must be a PSE 7 feature!

I would like to know how to get there as well. There are a lot of new techniques in PSE7 I just haven't figured out yet. Wouldn't it be great to see a thread on "What is New in PSE7"?

Hi Alberta,

In PSE7, you can get to Guided Edit from either the Organizer or the Editor.

- From the Organizer, click on the little arrow on the "Editor" tab on the top right corner of the screen.

- If you are in the Editor screen, click on the "Guided" tab.

EDIT: You may also want to check these videos for an overview of PSE7 and its new features.
