A little of this (Topaz), a little of that (Orton), and some cropping ...

I had no idea what I was going to do with this, until I read this thread (post #4):

So, here you go. Thanks, Lisa and Marie!

Crime in the City

As a watcher of forensic TV shows (Cold Case Files, Solved etc.) I have reached two possibilities based on this crime scene. The victim went to the store to get a cabbage and when he came home with a Savoy cabbage (instead of a regular one) he was chased out of the kitchen and stabbed with a kitchen knife by an irate spouse. That or he stabbed himself in the heart for having to go to the store when he would rather be doing something else, and the cabbage just happened to be there. I see no other possibilities!

Steve, you are forgetting the presence of the Bird of Paradise. It might have reached up, while nobody was looking, and stabbed him, because it heard his wife tell him to go and exchange the Savoy for a paradisical bird for ---roasting!
As my old friend, Hercule Poirot, used to say, a logical theory has to accomodate a l l of the present circumstances (or words to that effect).

Otherwise I like your crime scene.

OK, Rita, there are three possibilities! It now seems so obvious!
