Scrapbooking Layouts in Gallery?

I don't use PSE much for Photography mostly for Scrapbooking. Is the gallery only for displaying photographs or can we scrapbookers use it to display our layouts?

I would love to see what the rest of you are doing with your scrapbook pages.

Anna ...

Of course you can display your scrapbooking layouts in your Gallery , in fact I'm sure that some people do have theirs displayed.

Look forward to seeing some of yours

View my first Scrapbooking pages

Anna: I have a few pages posted in the gallery. I'm not the photoghrapher that most are on this site but hopefully will get better. I started out with traditional scrapbooking but spent more time shopping for the stuff than creating. I really like digital scrapbooking because I can tweak and tweak and tweak. I'm not real creative in the artist department so it's hard for me to come up with layouts that are different. On the Cousin's page I scanned a picture of dried hydreanga then added a gradient to create the background effect. A total accident but I really like it.

For me, I like using techniques in Elements as opposed to what can be purchased in the digital scrapbooking world. I have plenty of that but generally don't use it. My best source has been Adobe's Studio Exchange and Dafont.com.

Let me know what you think? Once you start this, it's hard to go back.

Hi Kim ...

Oh you scrapbook pages are just delightful ... they are imaginative and tell such a nice story.

Congratulation on on the hard work you have out into them

Good Morning Kim
I had never seen your gallery before and it is GREAT!!! How long have you been doing digital scrapbooking? I love your cousins page - I should say I like them all.

Kim, I love your layouts.

I too am trying to do better with my photos and love trying new things in Elements. I am somewhat new to scrapbooking in general having started about a year ago with paper and in March of this year with digital scrapbooking. I must say I really do enjoy doing digital scapbooking much more then paper. I hope to get most of my older photos scanned so that I can beging using the tons of kits that I already have.

I have been trying to muster up the courage to display some of my layouts and you have certainly given me a push in that direction.

Thanks for sharing.

Anna

Kim beautiful job. Anna, go ahead and post. We all love to share and get ideas from others. That's the fun part of this forum.

I am not into scrapbooking and would not even try it when coaxed by a friend as I already have enough expensive hobbies, but doing it with elements is something I wouldn't mind doing!

You both might be interested in Digital Scrapbooking 4 by Simple Scrapbooks. I hear it's in stores now, but I haven't been able to find it yet in Canada. I have the 3rd edition and there are some great ideas in it. I'm not so great at coming up with original ideas, but I'm a pretty good copier!

Kim,

I had noticed your layouts before and really liked them. I especially like the one of the kids sledding.

Question ..... did you apply a gradient to the blue mats of the individual pictures to get the light variation? Would you be willing to share how you did it ? I really like the effect.

Also ... what font(s) are used for your title " Winter Wonderland"?

Kathy
