problems applying transitions

Hi all,
I've just starting using Premiere elements 2 and having real problems applying transitions between 2 clips.
It's fine for the black out one. I'm talking about all the other transitions using A and B. Like the page turning going from A (first clip) to B (second clip).
If I do that I never have A staying the first clip all the way and B staying the second clip.
For example, on a page turn transition I'll have A and then mid way, when you're supposed to see A and B, I'll have the same second clip on A and B.
not really easy to explain but hope you understand...
Please help, I'd like my transitions to look a bit more professional !

Hi Oliver ...

... and welcome to the forum

Tami is away at the moment ... she will be back on Moday and I am sure that she will pick up on the thread when she gets back

Hi Oliver,

It sounds like you have a small gap between your clips. Try using the slider at the top of the timeline and making your timeline really big so you can see if there is a gap between the clips, if there is, delete it and try your transitions again.

Let me know

Hi tami,
Thanks, I'll try that tonight.
the way I do things is first cropping my scenes and then applying the transition.
I guess what you say is that if the 2 scenes are "stuck" together (ie : without gap) and you apply a 2 sided transition it will automaticly use the scene 1 as A and scene 2 as B to get a nice looking transition?!?
Hope it work. Thanks
Oli
