Challenge #147

Dave Dahlberg has submitted this weeks Challenge I suspect there will be many interesting images on Dave's Radar.

For those that are interested in hardships drove out of a blizzard and into snow drifts the height of my car's hood to get home to post the Challenge. In between these two extreme weather conditions was relatively clear sailing. Such is the mystery of Canada's winter.

************************************************** *******************************

Since my hard disk failure I have had some wonder Challenges
suggestions submitted by a few people . I need more suggestions from more
people to be able to mix up the choices. Please send me *your*
suggestions for the Challenges. Part of what makes the Challenge great
is your input. Also please don't forget he Photo Challenge as
presently I have only one suggestion although it is a great one but I do
need more.

* Important notice to all the new people in this forum. This is not a
close shop you are all invited to submit an image. If you don't think you
are good enough this is your first mistake, I think most have found that
working on the Challenge has improved their personal level. So young and
old, hot shots and cool dudes now is you time to post.

Gary

We only had a dusting in Dundas as well but ...down Lake Erie way it was blowing like crazy and night driving was very treacherous. Then just outside of Caledonia, on the back roads, there was considerable drifting for about 5 km.

My husband works in Mississauga and coming home tonight was an adventure. He passed through quite a few white outs. On a 'good' day the trip is 1.5 hours. He can pass through 3 different types of weather some times. The strange thing is, he really does like snow. Just not the white outs.

The first images are now being posted and again they are all great.

Notes for viewing.

1). Clicking on the thumbnail will open a larger image.
2). Clicking on the larger image will advance you to the next larger image.
3). If you are using Internet explorer F11 will toggle a full screen view

... gives the images a view they deserve.

Very fun

I've really enjoyed looking at the creativity of this one. Marylyn, I like your submission with the planet (Saturn?). What did you use for the rest of the picture? Was that done in PSE? It looks very nice.

This was my second attempt at one of these challenges. I was gifted with some unexpected time this afternoon, and had a couple hours to play around with the challenge image and a shot of my youngest son taken during a refreshment break at the zoo last summer. You have to look close--as the idea evolved, the amount of the original photo I used just kept getting smaller and smaller and smaller...

There is such a wide variety of creativity in this challenge and they are all so wonderfully done. Plus, I just love Jodi's image on the Challenge home page.
