Hi Tracy,

That's the only thing I can think of. It may not be what you're looking for. But, at least, by answering your post, I bumped it up, and someone else may see it.

I found the following tutorials by Wendy in the Subscriber area:

- Making Marble
- Making and Decorating an Easter Egg - instead of drawing an oval shape, draw a round one, and then skip the steps re decorations.
- Making a Marble Column - Here you can skip the first 9 steps and begin with Step 10, where you fill the circle with the marble texture. In this tut, Wendy has 2 layers (top and column); but with a circle shape you have only one layer and it will be easier.

Hope this helps.

I have a book by Al Ward - Photoshop Elements 2:Special Effects. He has a tutorial for making a pool ball, but I think that it can be adapted to making a marble - perhaps using a pattern layer in the work flow, or filling a selection judiciously. Don't forget the use of the Impressionist brush for adding shadows & highlights. He has put it on-line:

Scroll down for the tut.

You're welcome. If you like to be creative, there are many tutorials in this book. I notice that it available from Amazon essentially for the cost of shipping.
