Share slide show project

Brand new, 77 years old so keep it simple. I completed a slide show, kept the project. I want to place the slide show on Photobucket, or Vimeo. Can you give me the steps to do so after a slide show is completed.

So much you did not say.....

First, what is your operating system, Windows XP?? Vista??

Second, where did you create this slideshow, Photoshop Elements (what version), Premiere Elements (what version)???

Third, what video format did you save and where, maybe .wmv saved to a hard drive location like My Videos???

You mention uploading your video to an uploading site such as Photobucket. Did you check out its video uploading requirements??? I did. It will accept .wmv, and it looks like the max. 10 minutes/100 MB.

If you are going to use Photobucket for uploading your video, you need to read the sites tutorials and instructions. Below is one that looks like a must if you have Windows XP.

So, if you have a .wmv slideshow (max 10 minutes/100 MB) saved to a hard drive location on your hard drive, then upload it from there according to Photobucket's requirements and instructions.

BUT, if you do not, then post again with more details of the program(s) that you used to create the slideshow and your saving process.

ATR I created the side show with elements 6, I am on XP, saved the project. From the project how do I create the video and in what file ext. I have saved files to mpeg and wma, and no problem then uploading to photobucket or vimeo Guess my question is once I have the project, what steps do I take to save it in say the wma format. I tried in share, and could not come up with that choice.

I have been working with Microsoft Photo Story, and no problem saving the project plus going on to create the wma file.

I understand the upload process in both photobucket and vimeo, my confusion is moving from project to saving the file.

If you have a way of successfully achieving your goal, I do not want to mess with a good thing, so please accept these comments in that regard.

If all you have is Photoshop Elements 6 and want to save your Slide Show, you can:
a. save the slideshow just to the Organizer as a project (you can work on it later in the Slideshow Editor).
b. save the slideshow to the Organizer as a .wmv as well as a project
c. save the slideshow to the Organizer as a .wmv as well as a project and at the same time save that .wmv to the hard drive location of your choice

The slideshow as a project stays within the Organizer. The way out of the Organizer for this slideshow is as a .wmv file. So, the Output route is:
a. Output
b. Save As a File, dot the "Movie File (.wmv).
c. After you designate your saved hard drive location and before you click OK to process, make sure that you set the File Size to your need. In the link that I posted for Photobucket, in one place is shows a size of 640 x 480 Large. In the Photoshop Elements 6 wmv File Size options, "Computer Monitor 640 x 480 Large" seems to fit. The important matter in the size issue is that you meet the Photobucket requirements for minutes/MB.

I do not upload to these types of sites, so it would be of interest to me and probably others looking in to learn of the actual details of your success.

ATR, thanks again. I have been just playing with Elements 6, unable to read and retain any more. I have used both Photobucket and Vimeo, for both photostory and movie maker, have also used Showbiz dvd to mix photos and video. If I can put togeather a decent slide show will check back in. I did find the wav option , but copied your instructions.

A feature I am interested in is capturing a still from video, can you point me in the right direction for instructions.

Here is a way to use Photoshop Elements 6 to obtain your freeze frames from your video.

Basically what you are going to do is
(a) open Photoshop Elements 6 in Full Editor
(b) go to File Menu/Import/Frame from Video
(c) In Frame from Video dialog, browse to and select video saved to your hard drive, followed by hitting Open

Then you work away in that dialog to create your freeze frames.

There are other programs, but this is a handy route. Let us know how it works out.

(Before you save your freeze frame as a jpeg, you might want to go to the Filter Menu/Video/Deinterlace and apply Deinterlace. See if it improves the quality.)
