Creative wizard

I'm not a real rookie with PE, but with this version, I have encountered something that I need help with. :? When I try to use the Creation wizard and say I select greeting card, when I try to get to the next step, clicking does nothing. I have to add that I was going from the Organizer to the Creation wizard. Perhaps this is due to the monitor resolution size in the question posted about using the scrapbook tool, but I'm getting frustrated. I have to shut my computer down and start again as I can see the whole screen or if I have clicked on a selection, nothing happens.

I was able to get the greeting card part to work (well, almost) one time. I was able to get the picture selected into the first step, but then things started hanging up again.

Suggestions are appreciated. I do have some rather nice orchid pictures I'd like to use for birthday cards, etc.

Chuck,

Can you please tell me how far in this process you get:

1. Select "Create" in Organizer.

2. Select "Wall Calendar" and click OK

3. "Step 1" - Creaton Set Up - choose card template - click Next Step

4. "Step 2" Arrange photos - Click Next Step

5. "Step 3" Customise

????

creation wizard steps

Mike, I get to the create screen and I click on wall calendar, what I do not see "click on OK". Somehow I think this is due to the monitor resolution. I'm pretty certain that I'm not seeing the full screen.

I do not prefer to reset my monitor preferences each time I use PE.

I'm about ready to get off the computer for the day. I'll try to reset the monitor resolution tomorrow and see if that's the problem.

Shame if Adobe has the mindset to "require" their resolution size and not what the purchaser and user of the software prefers for their own setup. After all, it's us purchasers who keep companies running.

OK... see how you get on. The screen resolution needs to be 1024 x 768 or greater.

If you are still having problems post a screen print at:

http://www.pixentral.com/index.php

Then post the url that pixentral gives you here.

Mike, I changed the monitor resolution and that appears to cure the problem. I must say that this does not make me happy as it creates extra steps. But, if that is how things go, then I will adapt.

On a serious note to the programmers who read this, please reconsider the Adobe stance on the monitor size. My monitor is 19 inches. Why should I have to resize things smaller to work with the program? Not really done in a common sense way. Same thing happened while I was a professional librarian during my 30 years in Technical Services. Public catalog software company was adamant about the way things were to be. Numerous common sense solutions were given to the programmers to make things work more efficiently for my staff. They finally saw the light when they started losing customers.

Back to PE3: after getting an image to the greeting card creation page, I've encountered problems in getting the image to print properly. I'm trying to create greeting cards in the size of 6.25 x 9 inches. When I change the image size to work with the card stock, my print comes out maybe 1/3rd the size I expected. Any solutions here?

I did like how the creation wizard seemed to work. I'll need to make more attempts to become comfortable.
