Missing Stationary & Layout button

The Stationary & Layout button and window, located inside the Send E-mail
Window is missing from my copy of the software. Is this a preliminary copy of the Photoshop 3 software, or did something just not load properly. I have uninstalled and re-installed a couple times....same results, .....any ideas?

Ralph, are you in the Organizer? If so, either Share>E-Mail or Ctrl-Shift-E should take you to the Attach E-Mail screen where the Stationery and Layouts button resides. Can you get to that screen and is the button there?

Also, if you're in Editor, with an image that you want to send open, File>Send E-Mail will get you to the same screen. BUT....an image has to be open.

Missing Stationary & Layout Window/Button

Chuck S.

The way you described is exactly the way I have been doing it. The Staionary & Layout section is just not there.
I wish I could do a cut/paste of the window I am looking at. It will allow me to do all the e-mail funtions, but I would like to be able to do all the borders, frames, etc that the missing section would allow. I have the Scott Kelby book, with it's CD that also shows how to get to that section. I have followed it exactly. That section is just not in my copy of the program, or if it is I'm sure not seeing it.
I even tried calling the Adobe Help line, and the first thing they want is a credit card number before they will even send you over to talk to a tecnician.

Any further ideas

Ralph, if you can create a screen print (shift-PrtScrn) and paste it in a new canvas in Elements, you could upload it to www.pixentral.com, then come back here with the address that pixentral assigns to it. Then maybe we could see what you're seeing.

Ralph, have you gone through the reset preferences routine? Exit Elements, then restart it while holding down the Alt, Shift and Ctrl keys (you have to be quick to make this work). Then you should get a pop-up window asking if you want to delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Then go back to to see whether the problem has been solved.

Thanks Chuck, I've always wondered how people do those screen shots.

Keriann, it's super convenient, especially with pixentral out there. Lots of problems have been diagnosed and solved quickly because of that!

Missing Stationary & Layouts Button

Chuck S.

Thanks for all the assistance. I have tried the reset you suggested with no help for the problem.
I also uploaded a copy of the screen showing the problem to pixentral so you can take a look at it to see what I am seeing. I welcome any other suggestions.

Thanks again,

Ralph

Ralph, got it!! AHA! Note that you have the Format box set as Simple Slide Show (PDF). If you change that to PhotoMail (HTML), you'll get the selection of Stationery and Layouts in place of the Customize button. That oughta fix you up.

Just love those screen shots....
