Lightroom incorrect lens info
Hi all. I am hoping I am posting this in the right section, I cant find any info on adobe site, so hoping someone here can help. I have installed the trial version of LR 1.1.4 and have noticed that it is not displaying the right lens in the Exif data. I am shooting with a Sigma 17-70mm f2.8, but LR is showing that it is a Tamron 35-90mm f4. (I dont own one of those). What is happening, is there any way I can manually insert/correct the lens being used? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi! I can't really offer any help but maybe someone else will jump in with some information for you. In the meantime, you might want to post your question at the Inside Lightroom forum.

Sounds like it may be a common problem. See the link below. Lens info is coded in the EXIF data and I guess there may be duplication of codes between different makers which confuses Lightroom. Whther there are tables somewhere that show which lenses go with which codes I don't know.
