filter window in pse 3
when i open the texture window, I can not see the scaling slider or the relief slider, I can see part of them but not the #'s. I have put my cursor on the edge where I get a little arrow, but it will not open any wider for me to see the sliders.

Maybe a silly question but do you have your resolution set to 1-24 x 768 or larger? Grant |

Grant,
Do you mean my screen resolution?? It's set at 800x600.

That I suspected that was your problem. One of the Elements requirements is that the screen resolution be 1024 x 768 or greater. While a smaller resolution doesn't effect most things there are a few windows that will not resize as low as 800 x 600. Try resizing and if you have trouble seeing fonts sizes get back and i will tell you how to resize them as well. Grant |

Grant, that was the problem, but now I hate the way my pc looks. Everything looks so small. Would it be possible for me to change the resolution everytime I use the PSE 3?? Thanks for your help.

Sorry for the delay in responding I was out for evening. Here are a few things to do to make your Windows a bit easier on your eyes. 1) Go to Properties then click on Appearance at the bottom of your box it will say Font size: in the fly out pick the next size font. 2) If your wallpaper is to small go to Properties then click on Desktop in the lower right middle make sure stretch is selected. 3) If you are using Internet Explorer on the main menu click on View then Font size and increase font to next size up. Hope that helps as it is easier to get use to this than always resize for elements. Grant |

My husband hates the smaller size of things when I resize for PSE3. Maybe some of the Grant hints will help me too.
I have a shortcut to "display" on my desktop so before I start with PSE3 I can change resolution in 3 clicks, and then change it back when I'm finished. Otherwise I hear "What's wrong with this computer??!!" (He gets the same answer ever time.) |

Hmmm husband ... computer, husband ... computer, which one should I choose? Two computers make for a quieter marriage. |

I'm afraid it would take more than two computers for that! ( I can't even get him to use the "oldie" for reading his forums and surfing ebay. Don't think my stuff will run on it.) But thanks for another great hint! |
