Camera RAW edit box

In the Workflow course lesson 8, an extensive camera raw edit screen is shown in Photoshop Elements 3. When I open the downloaded image -- .NEF extension -- the editor opens it in a very simple edit screen with only a few adjustments showing. I have downloaded the latest camera RAW update and installed it per instructions.

You moved the previous RAW plugin to another spot?

I'm kind of guessing ..can ya tell. I don't use Raw that much and I have a Canon.

Camera RAW edit box

Hi Mike,

The box is small and has only a selection window for white balance choices and two rotate arrows.

Ray,

Did you uninstall the previous Raw plug-in before installing the new one..?

If so I suggest two things... delete the preferences file, if this doesn't work then delete and re-install the Raw plug-in.

Let me know how you get on.

Mike

Camera RAW edit box

Hi Mike,

I installed the Raw plug in per instructions, but no improvement. I think I should uninstall Elements and start over? Thanks for the suggestions.

I would try deleting the preferences first as per Mikes suggestion.

ctrl/alt/shift at the same time as program launch..you should then get a popup asking to delete preferences say yes. Sometimes it takes a bit to rebuild

When you reinstalled the Raw Plug In ... did you download it again?

... and did you download Camera Raw 3.2 ...
