Lightroom Playground Week 19

Sorry if I'm stepping on someone's toes but I hate to see this worthwhile exercise dry up, so here is my submission:

Using Lr 2.0 beta...

Used Lr 2.0 beta to add (?) some negative clarity and negative saturation to the background, then cropped and added slight increase in the brightness.

Tom, I like your approach a lot. I used a preset called High Key by Sid Jervis and used mogrify on export to add the borders. It's a fantastic looking bird, by the way. Thanks for posting it!

My own B and W preset with Lab sharpening in CS3. Thanks for taking the initiative!

Love the bird - what kind is it?

Great Egret

Nicole,

It's a Great Egret, also known as American Egret, which I photographed in the Florida Everglades in January.

I'm told that this specimen is in "breeding colors" with the orange bill and colorful green around the face.

Thanks,

Tom

In that case here's a bit of a redo...keeping the green and the orange.

Thanks for the info!
