Making Paper (w/smoky undertones)

Wendy, can you teach us to make paper like the one you have in "Making Glossy Buttons"? I love that smoky effect in the paper. I fooled around with all kinds of effects but I couldn't seem to find it. It's really pretty!
LeslieA.

PS. I know you probably get tired of it but I have to say how much I appreciate you and all your contributions to tutorials and answers to peoples problems. Thanks for your help and guidance

Hi ...

Glad that you like the tutorials

Now the Paper is from one of my kits "Birthday Flowers" and for one layer I used two similar shades of the same colour with a Filter>Render>Clouds. Then I seem to have used a couple of filters on it ... but I don't know which ones.

Over the top of that are four layers all in different shades. I used a brush on part of the layers ... but its a couple of years since I made it and sadly I can't remember which brush I used.

Sorry I really can't work out what else I did on it ...

Wendy

Always my luck! I did mess around quite a bit with the clouds but it didn't get that smoke effect. Guess I'll have to try some more. Do you sell your kits? Do you have a website?
Thanks anyway,
LeslieA.

Wendy is a designer at DigitalDesignDen.com

If you are a subscriber there are some cloud brushes in the download section that you could use to erase with that would give you a more "smoky" look. They are from a tut I did last year for the newsletter.

Thanks for the info. Yes, I am a subscriber and I will search through the past newsletters to see if I can find it. Thanks again,
