Using Quotes ??

Now I may be able to use Elements but when it comes to using the "Quotes" on this forum I am a total novice.

I have tried all sorts ... ended up with no quotes, all in quotes and quotes falling off the page ......

I guess you have the idea by now ... so help ... just how do I do it? ops:

Oops - looks like it worked! I just clicked on the Quote button, then typed, then clicked again on the Quote button, which had added an asterisk to itself in between....

Wendy,

There are a fw ways...

You can select the Quotes icon in the top right hand corner of the message - this will put the whole message in quotes (like yours above) or you could delete any parts of the text that you don't want.

OR

Type the following in square brackets:

quote= followed by the authors name in speech marks.

So if I want to quote you, in square brackets I would have

quote="Wendy"

then the piece of the message you want included

To close the quote type again in square brackets

/quote

Hope this helps

Mike

Chuck,

Thanks for the help ... I'm sure I tried it that way and it didn't work.

Well thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it

As you can see even with instructions I didn't get it right first time ... maybe my beautiful iMac is having an off day ... have you been looking again yet?

Thanks Chuck

Wendy

Grant,

Now that would totally confuse me ... I'm still trying to master simple quotes.
