Lightroom Playground Week 16

Tom Tagged me for this week.
Spent Earth Hour with a little angel and some candles.
I messed up the WB on this and underexposed a bit to see what you could come up with.
It may be a bit bland (colourless) so we will see how it goes. I have a few more from an outing I was on, on Sunday.

************************************************** *******

The purpose of this weekly challenge is to encourage creative experimentation with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. All Lightroom users are welcome to join in and for those who don't have Lightroom but wish to play, here is the link to the 30-day trial version.

Please make any adjustments you choose to the following image and post your results in this thread. Share how you processed the image and provide information on any develop presets used. All modifications on the image should be made in Lightroom.

Went for the close-up...

Used a WOW preset for HSL pink and then tried to maneuver the red and magenta sliders to boost the red flower (I think it's a flower?) and the angel's lips and cheeks. Also ran noise reduction and vignetting!

Good for you for getting creative during earth hour!

Nicole

Earth Angel

Good Challenge! Here's my attempt:

I changed tint (-1.50), exposure (+2.00), added some fill light, bumped the brightness and contrast slightly, decreased the saturation of the red primary, nudged the green primary saturation, and cropped.

Thumbs up

Gary, very good challenge. I used the Lightroom 2.0 BETA version to try it out. Everything seems to work great for me , no problems. I tried out the Post-crop Vignetting control and I think it looks pretty neat.

Here's my first Lightroom Playground attempt. I didn't keep track of all I did, though. I love the color purple so I tried to bring out her sash.

Tom Thanks for the kind comment. I see on you gallery that there is a map display of where your images were taken. I'm assuming that somehow you have integrated a GPS system in the loop. Is this integrated in the camera or strictly from say your handheld or auto GPS. Love many images in your galleries.

Eddie,

That map on my Picasa site is a bit misleading, since I don't have or use a gps device. I was playing around with a mapping feature which is available on the Picasa Web Album site and designated my location for some of the shots taken nearby. Finding that I couldn't really do much with it without a gps, which I don't have, I simply forgot about that feature and didn't ever erase my "playing around."

Looks like it would be a very nice feature if the gps data were available, doesn't it?

Tom
