It means to be inserted in the digital file info. To see open an image and go to file>file info. All the camera data is there and you can add yourself as author to embed a copyright as well.

Don't worry - I haven't figured it out either (if you're talking about the Photoshop Express button). Link copies a link to the clipboard and you can paste it in to a webpage but it posts just as a link. Embed does something similar but it has a thumbnail. I couldn't figure out what to do with it although I was able to modify the HTML to make it a clickable thumbnail that would paste into a forum post. What they don't seem to have is a way of generating the HTML code for pasting into a forum like this so it produces a clickable thumbnail. Maybe that's something they should add.

Embed produces something like this:

Code:
<img src="http://api.photoshop.com/home_129779d5103149358a9ee4cacee6d56c/adobe-px-thumbnails/ba1cc3b6a520432f9a8a9cd0fa3c347b/256.jpg"/>
Maybe someone who knows HTML can explain what you'd do with it.

Tony

The term for that is actually meta data (literally data about data). In image files there is a standard called EXIF that is the camera details and what not.

Embed in this since is a little piece of HTML that you can use to put your photo on another website (embed the photo in the website). You can get similar snippets from the Elements Village gallery. The term embed became most popular after YouTube made it big, they provide embed code for all their videos.

You can't put HTML in your posts here at the Village since it's a massive security risk. It's probably a bit much to explain here, but basically allowing the public to post HTML means all bets are off as to security. It's somewhat possible to build filters to weed out the bad stuff (like MySpace has tried), but it still leads to problems. No worries though, because all you need is the URL from the embed code to be able to include an image here. For example:

Code:
<img src="http://api.photoshop.com/home_129779d5103149358a9ee4cacee6d56c/adobe-px-thumbnails/ba1cc3b6a520432f9a8a9cd0fa3c347b/256.jpg"/>
The important piece is the URL:

Code:
http://api.photoshop.com/home_129779d5103149358a9ee4cacee6d56c/adobe-px-thumbnails/ba1cc3b6a520432f9a8a9cd0fa3c347b/256.jpg
Which you can use as a standard image and include using BBCode or the built-in WYSIWYG editor here:

Re: Embed code

On the main page of Photoshop Express it says
take your slideshows to the wider web word with the embeddable player which lets you post slideshows to facebook, myspace, and other sites ... Just click the "embed" button for a selected album....

My question is: when you get to facebook, how or what application do you use, to embed the slideshow so it plays over there?
