Layer Masks
Oh why oh why are there no layer masks. Yes there is a work around for the lack of this feature and anyone worth there salt will find out how to do this. So if can be done by the experience user why penalize the non experienced user. Please add layer mask!

True enough falcon, but this is a list for people to post their wants for the next version of Elements. Workarounds or add-ons are fine, but we're looking to build a list of new features for this "wish list"

Falconshots
I know of five was to make mask available in Elements and I am sure there are more. That is not the point. What I'm asking is why doesn't Adobe make them available. The five ways are: 1) Use an intermediate adjustment level. 2) I have written my own. They are not that difficult if you know the tricks. 3 - 5) Get them from one of these sites: Paul Shipley: http://member.melbpc.org.au/~pshipley/Download.htm Richard Lynch: http://www.hiddenelements.com./ Kevin Trax: http://www.hiddenelements.com./ |

Ok, Dave. All I wanted to do was say there was an option. I use them and they work.
If you have them, I am not sure why you need them again... |
