Lightroom Playground Week 13

The purpose of this weekly challenge is to encourage creative experimentation with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. All Lightroom users are welcome to join in and for those who don't have Lightroom but wish to play, here is the link to the 30-day trial version.

Please make any adjustments you choose to the following image and post your results in this thread. Share how you processed the image and provide information on any develop presets used. All modifications on the image must be made in Lightroom with the exception of sharpening, noise reduction, and resizing. Matt Kloskowski's Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Killer Tips is a great source for Lightroom Develop presets.

Recycling an image I had posted over on the PCE website of Multnomah Falls in northern Oregon. I know that others here will be able to do more with it than I did!

Here's the link to the RAW file (Canon G9; requires latest version of Lightroom to process)

Enjoy!

Here's my attempt:

I think mine and Gary's are fairly similar except I added a bit of a vignette to it.

Going for the Romanesque, lots of sharpness, dropped the color but kept the clarity. Shallow tones on this one

Well finally had some time so here is my attempt on this great image. First I cropped ,straightened, then set w/b with the drooper and then worked my way down the develope module. Then framed in PSE-4.

That image was a pure pleasure to work with. Just a phenomenal capture! Thanks for sharing.

I did the following:

- aligned/cropped for slight tilt
- adjusted exposure, recovery, fill light and blacks
- clarity to 0
- vibrance up +25
- slight S curve
- sharpening amount to 114
- corrected some minor CA around the bridge at top and log at bottom
- applied reverse vignette to brighten edges
- used mogrify export plugin to add Chuck's copyright as a watermark, add borders, resize and FTP to my server

Hre's my crack at a B&W version ... sharpened via noiseware in elements first and framed in elements at the end ...

I've always ben keen on the dramatic kinda B&W ...

This is such an amazing shot - I wish I could claim it as my own. Where was it taken, Chuck?

Here is mine:

I used a preset called "Natural Beauty" by Nick Tsakiris. For those of you who like presets, this is a really nice set. Get it through Matt's blog here.

Julie, I took it at Multnomah Falls in northwestern Oregon, just a short distance from Portland. I was a little early returning from a business trip, so I took a detour off the freeway to kill some time. I had no idea the falls were there and that they would turn out to be really spectacular!
