Lightroom Playground Wk10

The purpose of this weekly challenge is to encourage creative experimentation with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. All Lightroom users are welcome to join in and for those who don't have Lightroom but wish to play, here is the link to the 30-day trial version.

Please make any adjustments you choose to the following image and post your results in this thread. Share how you processed the image and provide information on any develop presets used. All modifications on the image must be made in Lightroom with the exception of sharpening, noise reduction, and resizing. Matt Kloskowski's Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Killer Tips is a great source for Lightroom Develop presets.

************************************************** *******
The decision was to either post an image that's pretty much ok straight from the camera or have one that's only so - so. I have plenty of those
In the end I went for a so - so image. In fact it's the first ever shot I took with my new Macro lens - room for improvement still!!!

Do your best and good luck. Comments here, please.

Gary, I think it's wax - and we're looking into the 'crater' of a very nice Christmas candle.

I think....

Some nice work there folks. Makes me think I ought to ressurect it myself.

It was a christmas table decoration. Baubles, leaves and candles. The candles had burnt almost right down and the wax had flowed every where.

30secs at f32, ISO 100 if your interested. Canon 100mm Macro.

I applied Matt's Nostalgic Effect 2 then adjusted the saturation of the red and green upwards. This was fun to play with. I think I'm going to have to get one of those macro lenses! Thanks, Colin...

Whew, What a week. I was very sick and had a severe bladder infection Which ( I believe) was caused by a germ being exposed to my bladder during a sort of routine cystoscopy. Sunday night my temperature reached 103.9. Needless to say I'm feeling a little better with the Anti-biotics and pain medicine. Well any way here is my feeble attempt.
A interesting point ...The leaf on the left side I Hit it with fill light to bring out some detail but during the conversion process it basically got lost either during exporting from LR to PSE-4 or maybe during resizing. There were no black clipping while in LR. Any Ideas.
Eddie

Colin,

The person who posts tags the next "victim". Has everyone had a chance already? If so, I can post something. Or did you have someone in mind to tag?
