Has there been any GIF animation control changes?

Hello all,

I've used both the full version of Photoshop and Elements 2 for creating web animations. I was somewhat disappointed that I don't have as much control in Elements 2 for GIF animations as I had for the full version of Photoshop/ImageReady. Has this changed at all? Has the animating GIFs format been reworked in Elements 3? Can you pick your colors now in your GIFs to optimize compression?

Just curious.
