Calendar Creation Problem in PSE3

When I create a calendar, the photo and caption is there but the calendar is just a blank grid... no numbers, no month, nothing.

This occurs wether I'm printing or doing a PDF.

I'm using WinXP SP2. My PC is running an AMD 2000+ Athlon XP processor, 1 GB PC2700 RAM, and a GeForce FX5700 Ultra 128 mb display.
I have a hard time believeing this is a system resource problem.

Thanks!

Tom

I have read similar problems (many) and another forum poster said that he had uninstalled pe1 after he purchased pe3. He reinstalled pe1 and was able to get the text back. Is there something that you have recently uninstalled that may have taken away this support ? It is indeed a barrel of monkeys.

Jodi:

I uninstalled PSE2 not long ago. PSE3 seemed to work fine until this calendar thing. It seems odd that I would have to reinstall the old program. If this is the case, I would say Adobe has some work to do!

Tom

I forgot to mention that I ran the PSE3 install program earlier today to see if it would solve the problem, it didn't.

Tom,

If you uninstalled PSE2 you may also have lost Adobe Gamma ... check in your control panel.

The solution to the missing Adobe Gamma seems to be to uninstall PSE3 and then install it again. Installing without the unistall doesn't seem to fix it.

You are right! I uninstalled/reinstalled and all is well. I printed out a beautiful "January 2005" page complete with photo. The quality is superb.

Thanks!

Jodi,

As it does strange things with Adobe Gamma I thought it was worth a shot for other odd happenings ....
