Wow, and I thought I made out like a bandit

Great stuff....... Good luck with it.

Tamrac Adventure 7 Backpack
Monfrotto 055XB Tripod
Monfrotto 486RC2 Ball Head
and a Can of air.

LOL, A little bleak compared to your treasure trove I think.

I was looking for a good book but our choices here are slim. I am now waiting for the Understanding Exposures from Bryan Peterson in the local library.

You did well. I got a new Sony 11-18mm lens. "Unfortunately" that was not the lens I wanted so I have to keep that one and get the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 next week.

Most excellent! It sounds like lot's of people got some great photo goodies for Christmas. What fun to have new toys...I mean tools to get the creative juices flowing.

I got a really cool new Garmin Nuvi so I can find my way to awesome locations on my photo adventures.

Laurie,

The Garmin is way too cool. You will definately be addicted to it in no time.

I've always been interested in IR photography also, just never had the need or time to get into it. I always like admiring the shots. Cant wait to see yours............

I wanted this but Santa couldn't fit it on his sleigh. And, even if he got it here, it wouldn't fit down the chimney.

Lee,

The largest Lens Canon ever made??? For that price, I'd rather buy a house. $99,000 bucks, I'd be afraid to walk around with this thing. Picture yourself at a Major League Football Game and some big Linebacker comes crashing into your heavy duty big time Tripod with this lens on it.

Heehaw..........

That is a great list Rob. I can't wait to see all the photos.

I usually get sweaters, ties, and cologne. This year I got my wife a really nice Loomis fishing rod. She said I could use it.
