Cool Brief Introduction

Stopping by to say hi & introduce myself. I am a somewhat new to in-studio photography. I have only been doing it for 4 months now. I was a photo journalist before doing studio work. I had also done a lot of freelance outdoor photography. I did do quite a bit of senior photography outdoors in all natural settings. I didn't have to do much about the lighting other than the occasional fill lighting. So studio work is a whole new world to me. I am also not too accustomed to using Elements. At the newspaper I used the full version of Photoshop to manipulate photos.

Enough about me. Hopefully I'll find lots of tips in here that will make my life a whole lot easier. Thank you for taking the time to read this, hopefully I can contribute some helpful information as well.

Welcome to the forum. You'll find lots information here to help you along. While Elements doesn't have all the features of Photoshop, there are work-arounds for most of the things that you can't do. Someone is usually around to help out.

I seem to get frustrated w/ how much the tool box has changed, and I can't seem to get Elements to do some of the things I did with the full version of Photoshop. I have used the full version of photoshop since version 2.1, so i guess it is just things that were habit to me are now not doing what I want. I am happy to see so much helpful information here to help get me back on track.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am in the process of aquiring the latest version of Elements for my new OS. I ordered it yesterday. If this version has any changes from what i have been using I'll prob. have a lot of questions.

Hopefully I'll have some tips for you as well.
