Lost In Space
Remember that antique of a TV show from the 1960's?
Well, it's title fits me to a 'T'. I am so lost and confused and befuddled, etc, etc.. I just installed 6.0 Elements; for the purpose of repairing, touching up of some antique photos we recently came across on our ancestors ... me and the wife that is. Photos of the 'new' thingie called 'cameras' from the earliest days to the mid 1930's. Many, if not most, of these photos need touching up, and with some, even repairs ... as in broken ones that were on a hard backing from the studio process of long ago. A;so lots of tears, etc.. I''ve looked at the 464 page 6.0 user guide, and frankly would prefer to go to the dentist rather than trying to decipher all the strange lanquage within. Have also tried to find online tutorials addressing repairs, touch-up, or anything having to do with digital copies of antique photos, with no definitive success. So I need some help please. I want to 'dress up' these photos before the grim reaper comes ... if'n I can that is. My first issue, to use one of them as a guide, is to be able to overlay discoloration and aging aspects, along with trying to sharpen the pixal presentations of the studio's camera of the early, and I mean real early, 1900 era. I took my subject to a photo shop, for restoration, and the results are not as I anticipated. Thus my search for a program, in basic language, that I can attempt to do myself. ALL help highly appreciated. THANKS !!!! Chuck |

Thanks Wendy. Are you aware of an online version. On fixed income, and 6.0 set us back a wee bit. Chuck |
