Question Testing the waters

OK - I finally got here - by trial and error. Somehow I ended up in "Introduce Yourself" and sellected [Post New Thread].

My question is:

Lets say I sign into the forum and I have a question about resizing photographs.

Like, "Should I always resize before I start to edit?" and "Why"

What is the best way to go straight to starting a new thread?

Thanks - Al

PS. I am absolutely a beginner at Forums and Chatting

Hi Al,

Welcome to the Village! This is a wonderful place to get help with Elements. We don't really stand on formalities here so you needn't worry about posting in the wrong place. Someone will likely see your post wherever you put it and help you out. That said, I think your questions will get maximum exposure in the Forum called "Get Answers" in any of the subforums there: General Elements Discussion, Photoshop Elements 5/6 Questions & Answers, Elements for Beginners, or Advanced Elements. Of course, if you see what looks like a more appropriate place, give it a try! Post back if this isn't clear...

Hi Al and welcome,

Julie's right, the Get Answers section is definitely a good place to start when asking questions.

Hi Al. To get back to the place where all of the forum and subforums are listed click on the Elements Village that is located at the beginning of the "breadcrumbs" (yes that is really what the programmers call them) to the left of the Welcome, aphillips4745.

Once you get back to that main menu you can follow Julie's suggestion for maximum exposure.

Hi Al, it is so good to see people extend themselves to try new things, like posting on forums. (It was a first for me too when I joined here) This place is so friendly, and so extremely helpful, you will really like it.
