new to elements village

hi, new to elements and have a question that will hopefully help me in buying my next software...i have A LOT of old VHS tapes & an analog camcorder (9mm). how can i upload this. i have converter box from Pinnacle Studio & DVD Express, can i use this for making movies in elements? I am looking to purchase the software soon....if i can make this happen using my old film. any info would be great!

Sorry, I don't have an answer for you either. But, welcome to the Village...

Possibly someone in the Premiere Elements thread can help with your video editing question. Maybe try posting it there?

My layout

I am converting VHS tapes and analog 8mm camcorder tapes through ADS Pyro A/V Link with IEEE (firewire) cable and card. Premiere Elements can capture the video. A search of the internet has masses of information on how to do this. You also can find information you need to know at muvipix.com.

Some people have a digital camcorder that has passthrough capabilities (using USB cable??). I use the same setup as above for my son's digital camcorder.
