Yikes! My Brushes!!

Hi guys-
HELPPPP!
I was fooling around with making brushes with Dave's video. I have no idea how this happened, but my brushes are completely messed up-every category has something other than what it's supposed to have in it. My default brushes have been replaced with specialty ones, my signature brushes are in the faux brushes-aaaaggghhh!
So far I have tried resetting the brush tool, deleted the signature brushes from Presets, restarted the computer-everything's a huge mess!
Any suggestions? I'd be happy at this point just having the regular stuff where it belongs
Thanks

Two things to try and in the following order ---

First RESET PREFERENCES -- maybe it will sort it out for you.

2nd -- a reinstall may be necessary to get them back to normal. Hopefully the first idea will work.

Carol -- we mean to start editor and right away hold down the ALT+CTRL+SHIFT keys at the same time and then a popup message will appear asking if you want to delete, say yes and this should sort it out.

Will,
I am sorry to be so dense-start editor? Do you mean open elements?
In the meantime-my regular brushes seem to be ok now, but I have a "untitled brushes" choice in the brushes that have all the default brushes as well as the one signature brush that I made. What's up with that? Should I delete that out of brushes in presets?

Thanks

Before you delete anything we need to get the preferences reset -- yes click on the icon to start Editor and then hold down the keys.

Carol ...

Close Elements down then follow Will's instructions to delete the prefs file. Hopefully it will sort it out ... don't panic

In with the good air, out with the bad (me...deep breathing)

OK-what's messing me up here is "start editor". Does that mean open elements? When I click to open elements (Wendy, it's in my dock) and hold those keys, nothing pops up anywhere-elements just opens normally. Also, does alt+control+shift mean alt+cmd+shift on the mac?

Boy, is this my weekend for brain fog, or what??

Carol,

You need to be really quick... On a Mac the keys are Shift-Option-Mac (that twirling square key :lol...
