Photo Assignment # 5

A REMINDER -- Only one photograph per person is allowed, so if you're not sure it is your best shot of the week, then hold off until the latest you can afford to post it. Don't want any more multiple entries as that defeats the idea of getting a photo and making it the best of the best.

With that being said -- this assignment comes with some parameters and some freedom to photo shop a little.

A SMALL OBJECT from within your living space; it can not be more than 3 feet H/W/D -- so anything under 1 yard any direction is good to go.

You may extract this object and place it on a suitable background to give it significance as the subject. However, the object is to remain as photographed -- so it complies with our general rules.

I figured we'd have a lot of fun with this idea -- so let's see yours.

Will, I see you are stepping it up a pace and making us work for this one!!!
Sounds like fun. Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.
I have no clue yet.

Hi Will-

Sorry about this question. As you can see here, I'm new to the forum. First of all, is this the description for the next challenge, or is it an assignment related to something else?

If it's the challenge, is there a page on the site detailing the general challenge rules, such as, how to enter, the deadline, etc.? I looked around but I may have missed it.

I think I understand the guidelines, but am a little fuzzy on the logistics.

Thanks for your help!
Mike

Hey Mike

These "photo assignments" are just for fun. It was mentioned in the summer that we should do something to get us out and shoot pictures. This is it.

A lot of us spend, what some consider, to be huge amounts of time doing Elements projects  .

This is just a way to get us out of our chairs.

There is a weekly "Elements Challenge" that Grant puts on.
Again, just for fun, and a good way to get better.

Thats the link for Grants'

Mike -- this is a photo assignment series where participants accept the assignment for nothing more than recognition of other forum members -- we are doing it to help us get away from the computer and do something with our cameras. You can hop in anytime -- We use one thread for comments and the assignment thread for posting the pictures so they don't get buried in a lot of entries. Each week on Sunday (I sort of got elected in an unofficial ballot) I post a topic or subject if you will and this one I gave more guidelines to make it more challenging.

If this doesn't answer all your questions feel free to PM me - and I'll answer anytime up to 9:30 p.m. central time or early the next morning.

Well in my job I have to deal with 5 zones throughout the day so I have the US ones pegged. Not to good with the rest of the world.
