Making the Cube

Hi Everyone. I started making the cube and I was able to get one picture in, but then when I loaded my second picture, I could not drag it onto the cube layer. I could not get both pictures/layers on the same screen. Does anyone have an idea of what I'm doing wrong? ops:

Hi Janis,

A lot of people seem to have problems with this ... you need to be able to see both on the screen at the same time.

If you still can't manage it then then try this instead:

Open the image you want to add and do Select>All the Edit>Copy
Open the image you want to add it to and do Edit>Paste

Then should work OK

Thank you

Thank you Wendy. I'll give it a try. I was so happy I got one picture in the cube, and this hopefully will do the trick for 2 more pictures.

I have noticed that there are a lot of photos using the Cube technique. Was there a tutorial on doing a Cube? Have I missed something. I don't know the first thing about doing a Cube. Can someone direct me where to get this information.

Thanks in advance, Dorrie

Dorrie - it is in Scott's Book -- Down & Dirty Tricks, pp 224. It is a lot of fun to work with. I'm planning on doing one for a person at work who has 3 children which will fit the cube nicely.

Thanks Will, I will just have to wait until my book arrives. I ordered it from amazon, so it should be on it's way soon. Then I can play too.

You'll have quite a delightful experience once you get the hang of the cube.

Hi Everyone

I finally made my cube. A little step at a time, but I got it. Check it out in my gallery. Thanks everyone for your encouragement. Janis

Great cube. I really like the idea of the names around it.
