I'm taking the 21 day course. I've hooked my usb cord up to my camera then to my computer but my computer doesn't detect the video camera. Does anyone have any suggestions :?: ty

Hi

Lets start with some basic questions

1. is your camera on?

2. shut down your 'puter hook up your camera and then turn system back on
to see if it detects then...

3. Is PRE program open when you hook up the camera?

Let me know with these things and we can go from there..

Oh, what type of camera do you have?

Hi Tami,

Ty for helping me.

#1 Yes, my camera is on

#2 I tried turning computer off & restarting with camera on & hooked up but computer still does detect it.

#3 I've tried PRE both running and not. No difference.

#4 I have a Canon GL2 NTSC video camera

I never get that ding, dong sound when I plug in my usb cord into my computer. I tried plugging it into another computer and don't get the ding, dong on it either.

Wierd isn't it?
ty, Angie

I'm guessing its probably not USB 2.0 let me look it up..

Nope not USB 2.0 you need USB 2.0 for the USB hook up.

You can get a USB 2.0 / firewire card to add to your system for around 30 bucks or so at CompUSA.

I had to add one to my system for my digital camera.

Okies,

They are easy to put in, I did it myself instead of "Oh Honey, can you fix this for me?"
