Adding more pictures per page when making a scrapbook

I know this is not the smartest question in the world, but i just got PE3 and am very very new to the whole experience of it, but i got it to put together wedding albums for the family from my wedding. However the wizard tools are fab for creating an album but i can't seem to change the settings to get more then 4 pictures per page. I am looking to put about 6 to 8 on each page.

I have searched everywhere for the answer and can't find it anywhere, and my husband is about to divorce me for spending too much time on the computer. Can anyone help? How can i do this really quickly and simply?

Thank you ops:

Hi Sarah

Welcome to the forums.

Sorry I can't give you a definative answer on that. I will take it you are using the Creations section. My short guess would be that you can't change it (I hope I'm wrong).

You can use the editor, and drop pictures on a blank "page" (or a page with a background). While this isn't hard, it can be a bit daunting (mostly because you would then have total control over picture placement..which means unlimited options )

Hopefully someone else ..particularily a scapper can better guide you through this.

If you have any more questions please ask.

Gary.

I am a little disapointed with the "creations" side of the program.
Unless I am missing something (which could easily be the case ) it is very limiting. For example the cards part only has 3 layouts for kids cards, and as far as I can tell, you can't really change the layouts, only the photo inserted.

I ended up picking up an older version, bargain bin, card creator, and will just import my jpeg creations into that.

So, my long winded point is, the album page thing is probably not editable.

I do hope I have missed something in that part of the program, it is REALLY easy to use.

Thanks for the info on the creations, your right it isn't really helpful when trying to edit.

however i will try and make my own page in editor to creat album pages, but i am not sure how you drop the photos in? do you use layers and copy and paste or is there something else i should be doing to get the pictures in there?

thanks

Gary, I agree with you on the creations section. I avoid it. I find it's not very useful, and when the time comes that I need to do a card, I will do my editing and creating in pse and then go to Picture It publishing as there are more options available.

Sarah, open a blank file the size that you want to print. Open your pictures. You use the selection tool and drag them onto your blank canvas in the photo bin. It's kind of reverse of the way I would do it, but for some stupid reason you can't drag pictures FROM the bin onto the open canvas, you have to do it in the reverse. You can use the free transform tool (ctrl T) to change the size of your pictures and rotate them. Hold the SHIFT key while dragging to make sure your proportions remain correct.

I think once you get the hang of elements you will have a lot more fun starting from scratch and adding everything that way.

Sarah,

Just to confirm... 4 photos per page is the maximum. You acn edit the layout and change the number of photos per page between 1 and 4...
