The Book and the DVD's

When you go the the PE users web site, I see the Book and the DVD's are now avalible. They have a lower price for subscribers, and here is the message you get:

* To receive the special offer subscribers must call in and supply their customer ID number.

No where do I see a phone number to call into to! Anyone Know?

Hi Paul,

Hopefully someone from PE Techniques will answer this on Monday ... I can't find the number either.

Last week there was a Barnes & Noble exclusive bundle. I got the book and the DVD for 25.00. They seem to be out now because it doesn’t show up on there website. You may want to keep an eye out for that or check the B&M if there is one near you.

Does the DVD have a MAC file. As Scott says in his book can be used by MAC people but skip Ch. 2. Wondering if just purchase of book or book and DVD? Those who have DVD what do you think?

Thanks Jazz; the reason I ask is the book just showed how to do a crop and it comes clean on the pc but my mac still has the screen along with the photo. I have yet {5 tries} to crop with out the screen. I will check B&N tonight here in town, and get disk and book. { I will return orginal book to other bookstore} Right now for a mac user it is a little like playing MIST. i.e. trying different key presses

FYI, I don't think the DVD offered by Barnes and Noble with the Elements 3 book is the same DVD that is being offered by the Elements web site. Tne B&N dvd appears to be Photoshop Elements for Beginners by Dave Cross, while the dvd offered here is PSE 3 probably by Scott Kelby. (the B&N set should be in my mailbox any day now)

Obtained book and DVD - it is Scott on screen and talking. I am a Mac user so didn't get the Organizer that PC user get - It appears to be a good feature of Elements 3. Mac have Photo 4. thou. Scott does a good job in explaining the basic features of elements 3. Worth getting the B&N Book w/disk my price with tax was 48 plus dollars.

Clicked on the link to Peachpit, and they offer the DVD and Book. If you sign up, which is free, all items are discounted 25% which is about the same as $10 off each product.

UPS Ground shipping is free, so with tax my total for both items was $59.57, not bad.....
