Unable to view lessons
Unable to view my first two lessons this evening.
I can download either Quicktime or Windows Media Player files ok but when I try to use WMP, a window opens stating that "The file you are attempting to play has an extension that does not match the file format. etc...." And with QuickTime, after a short time I get a icon of a torn negative frame. The files end with either .mov or .wmv As suggested in a previous post, I right clicked and chose "Save as" and downloaded also to my HD. Then tried to open it but to no avail. Any ideas as to what the heck I am doing wrong :?: Thanks in advance. DaHen |

One of the solutions I've read about is going back to Apple.com and getting a fresh copy of quicktime and installing it again. It seems to work for some people.

welcome DaHen,
you also might want to try an update to WMP as well. This site recommends that it has to be at least version 10.0 Danielle

I had the same problem viewing tonight's lesson and now I see that they are fixing some kind of issue so hopefully it will work tomorrow.

Hi & thanks people for sugggestions.
I have version ten of WMP but sticking with version six of QuickTime. Version seven is bloated with iTunes. Am able to watch the Video Tips and sample online tutorials of PSE using QuickTime along with other .mov files. Now I see where the courses are down due to "programmers are busy improving the onlone training program." etc.... I'll tune in tomorrow and let yas know what happens. DaHen |

I am viewing a QuickTime file (day 1) streaming in the browser right now. I took the site down for about an hour tonight but video delivery wasn't one of the changes. Come next week there will be some new goodies, tonight was just working "under the hood".
If you're still having problems viewing the videos, do as the others suggested and upgrade to the latest version of QuickTime or Windows Media. If you're still having trouble, ping me at me AT jongales.com and I'll work with you to see what the trouble is. Once we figure it out, I'll post in the forums so others can learn.

jonknee, ya must have regapped the spark plugs under the hood, lol. ..... TA-DA ..... Its working now. I am able to download and view the lessons on both my Windows Media Player and my (old) QuickTime. Have learned much already from the first lesson. (Always wondered what that "Resample Image" was for.) Going to start applying what I learned from the first three lessons today. Thanks everyone for your inputs. DaHen |

Jon,
Is there a reason why we can no longer download the lessons? I am on a laptop and I really liked that I could save them on my computer to watch over and over without having to be connected to the internet.
