Oh WOW ...

What wonderful images ... I would love to know how some of them were done.

Brilliant work

Thanks for the comments on the photos. The colour photos were shot at a rehersal for by daughter's dance recital. I played with the hue and saturation a bit and burned in the backgrounds to darken them. I am trying to learn how to use the dodge and burn tools more and I think I might have been a little heavy on these shots.

These forums have been a great help and I am trying to apply the tutorials, tips and tricks Jodi and Wendy have been posting.

Keep it up and thanks for the continuing help.

Hi ...

Oh they certainly are good ..

Did you take the photos on a slow shutter, that effect is simply stunning

So glad that you are enjoying everything on the site ... I too have learned a lot since I started visiting here

Hand held, slow shutter. I had planned on using a flash, but the very very serious show director gave me a stern look when I was about to shoot with the flash, so I meekly settled into my chair and started playing around with the shutter speed. I am very flattered that you like them. Thanks

Thanks for letting us know how you took them ... maybe it was as well you didn't use flash, if you had they may have been good images but you wouldn't have captured that amazing effect .
