Pauline, well then it's no wonder we have such a connection My mother is English with direct relatives from England and my father was french with direct relatives from the Algonquian tribe. Makes me a definite mutt My mother still resides in Quebec. My father moved on to that better place. My sister lives up in Grande-Vallee and works in Wildlife law enforcement while my youngest brother resides in Montreal...the musician slash computer techy and last but not least my older brother still resides home with mom ( seperate quarters) and builds race cars as a hobbie and works in some big garage has head honcho. Too much info ?

Jodi, too funny. My father was French too. Don't know much about him. He was an alcoholic which is why my Mother left him. He died many years ago, and I never did see him after we left. My Mother's family is from England too! (back a generation or 2)! We moved to North Bay, Ont., and my Mother and 2 sisters still live there. Oh and if we're going to talk about Newfies, that's what my step father is!
