Question on Entering my first Challenge image

I created an image and saved it for the web, then I went to Grant's Challenge page and attemped to enter the image. It appeared as though this is done through one's email program. it that correct.

Dorrie you e-mail them to Grant and he puts them on the web site. It should have his address listed on the site.

Thanks Pauline, I guess I did it right then, at least I hope so. I didn't give him my last name. I hope that wasn't necessary.

Dorrie, can't wait to see your image !

The way Grant prefers the images to be sent to him..challenge number first/name/#

so this challenge is #135...so the way you would send ....no spaces;

135Dorrie1 ... the '1' would be the number of the image you sent so if you did another you would name it 135Dorrie2 etc...

images must be in jpeg format ( or gif if you send an animation)cannot be larger than 800 pixels on the largest side and try not to go over 100kb tho he'll usually allow a bit over this.

Will be looking for your image.

Jodi, I just discovered the info you just gave me, so Grant will probably not post my image this time, and that's alright I realized that today ends the challenge and Friday starts with a new one.

But, just so you can laugh at my attempt I'll post it here. Remember it's my first try. Be kind. :lol: :lol:

Okay Jodi, I did it. I sent it on to Grant.

Thanks for your comment. I didn't think it was great, but it was fun doing it. The soldier was from a recent picture I took while in Washington DC. It's from the Korean Memorial there. The "POW" was an embellishment I have, and the text was just to be funny.

I'll keep trying. Maybe one day I'll get to know this program half as well as you, Wendy, and serveral of the other guru's.

Sherry, thanks for the encouragement.. I liked your image too. I keep trying to get better at this, and for an Old Hen I guess I'm hanging in there.

So you got your Newsletter.. I hope they got to post office in Northern Calif. I need something good to read.

Thanks Dorrie,
Of course after I turned it in, I started thinking of all the other things I could have tried---so next time. It is a learning curve, but fun.
Hope the mailman makes it north today!!
