Cottage In Carmel

We were in Carmel,CA last weekend for our Anniversay and had to get some pictures of their adorable cottages. Thought the Colored Sketch was a nice effect, then I thought I would try the Orton Effect next. Which one do you like? I like them both. If I wanted to make them into a card... where do you go to have this done?

Michelle, I love them both but if I was to choose, I really like the way the sketch came out! It looks great on those cottages. By the way, I remember those. I've been to Carmel a couple of times. Isn't is a great place to shop and wander around. Is the "Hog's Breath Inn" still there? Great place to eat. The 1st time I went I saw Clint Eastwood in a restaurant a couple of seats from us eating breakfast. He said hi can you believe! Course that's probably cause he heard my husband telling me to look and I didn't believe him.

They're both really nice, Michelle, but I like the sketch best.

I like them both!! but drawn toward the Orton effect...but the sketched image would look marvelous on a postcard or card. Mpix offers both and recently introduced the use of linen paper for their cards....

Very nice, Michelle. I really like the composition you achieved with your crop. I was initially going to choose the sketch but I really like the richer tones of the Orton effect.

I vote for the sketch. And I agree that the crop makes it perfect!

My pref is the one in the middle

They are both quite nice. If you make cards, why not do some of each?

Great photo and great cropping. My preference is the Orton effect as it seems somehow to capture the feel of Carmel...

Great job on both pics! My favorite is the sketch effect; it works perfect with this picture.
