my 1st before & after post

i decided, like always, that one of my attempted 'macro' shots was too blurry, so i played around with it ..
of course, in no particular order .. used lots of gradient mapping, messed around with opacity levels, and hue and saturation, applied poster edges, then added brush work ..

thanks, guys for the nice comments. .. uniqcrafts, what are my plans with the photo ?? GOOD QUESTION! most of the stuff that i post here at pse usually collects dust on the hard drive. maybe for once i'll upload and print this one just for a change, thanks for the nudge in the right direction

pinkpepper: That made me laugh. I guess I never thought about doing something just to do it. I usually do something to show someone or give it to someone. Maybe if I start doing something just to do it I think I'll learn a lot more. Now I can see why people run out of room on their hard drive. You still made me laugh.

Nice work! It's amazing how the use of photoshop can really improve pictures that you're not completely happy with. I rarely discard anything until I've attempted applying some changes through photoshop. It's saved alot of pictures from being discarded to the "trash can".
