going to seed
Hi,
I've been having so much fun experimenting with colour enhancement and had a play around with this image (below). I don't know the name of the plant only that it appeared to have finished flowering and had these unripe seed pods but it looked ripe for some 'enhancement'. So I played about with the colour and then the edges (watched the painted edges video tutorial). Before ...... and after... enjoy ![]() Lisa

I think it's probably an Allium Schubertii....there was a thread started about this unusual looking plant a while back.
Bayla EDIT: I just found the thread....HERE

I agree, it looks like those kids fireworks, the kind they hold in their hands and draw in the air with.... I can't think of the name of them. Do you know what I mean?

Hi Bayla,
thanks for the link and the photo of the plant. I'm not sure it is that, unfortunately I didn't take a picture of the one that was still flowering somewhat, that one had little (soft petalled I think) purple flowers at the end of the stalks. If I get chance I may ask a neighbour who is good on plants. This one was fairly tall and didn't seem to have the same 'leaves/stems' at the base as the one in the photo. Lisa

Hi Michelle,
yes, it does, doesn't it, we call those hand held fireworks 'sparklers' in the UK (or at least that used to be the name), it's ages since I got fireworks though so I may be out of date .Lisa
